TV pair on hunt for local talent

Britain's Got Talent finalists, Signature will be judging a contest searching for top talent in Cannock tonight.

Budding singers, dancers, comedians and entertainers will take to the stage to wow the judges from 7pm for the final of the Search for a Star contest at Cannock Chase Technical College.

Suleman Mirza and Madhu Singh, who wowed the nation with their Michael Jackson dance tribute on the televised talent show, will also be giving a live performance at the college at The Green.

The contest is being organised by the college in partnership with Greenwood Studios, based in Hednesford.

Peter Keenan, of Greenwood Studios, said: "The main thing is for people to have fun."

The prize is recording time at Greenwood Studios.

Entry is £3.
