More post offices around the Wyre Forest district could be under threat of closure, it was claimed today.
Wyre Forest Conservative spokesman Mark Garnier believes that only weeks after the district learned it was to lose four post offices at Comberton Hill, The Walshes, Wolverley and Stone, more could yet face the axe.
A report detailing the tender process for the Post Office Card Account highlights more potential losses, he has claimed.
Mr Garnier said: "The Business and Enterprise Select Committee has reported that a further 3,000 post office branches could close across the country as a direct result of losing the contract."
