Work has started on traffic calming measures at a notorious accident blackspot near Stourport.
Speed-activated signs are being installed to warn of a sharp bend in Abberley after villagers reported there had been 35 accidents in the village in the past four years.
Villagers feared that unless action was taken to highlight the dangers of the bend that there would be even more accidents.
Parish councillors and residents have called for traffic calming measures as they claim motorists drive through the village at more than 30mph, the legal speed limit.
Jon Fraser, Highways Manager for Worcestershire County Council, said that the signs will warn drivers that there are dangers on the bend.
