Two men have appeared in court charged with arson.

Daniel Hillman, aged 18, of Walter Nash Road, Kidderminster, and Curtis Arnold, aged 19, of Shakespeare Drive, Kidderminster, appeared in court yesterday.

The charges were brought following a fire at Frankie and Benny's restaurant at Weavers Wharf in the early hours of Saturday morning, October 11, in which a canopy was set alight.

Hillman and Arnold appeared before Kidderminster magistrates and were granted conditional bail to appear back at the same court on November 21.

Detective Inspector Dean Jones of Kidderminster Police said: "We are continuing to investigate a series of arsons which have occurred in the Kidderminster area over the last three months and are still appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact us on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111."
