The former Morrisons store in Kidderminster could get a new lease of life as as an indoor market, it was revealed today.
The owners of a Kidderminster newsagents want to take over the lease of the store and then rent out stalls to traders.
Jasjit Mann said today that she and her husband Daljit were making inquiries on taking on the lease - and as long as the rates were not to high - hoped to take it on a a new venture.
Mrs Mann told the Express & Star: "We would take on the lease and then rent out the stalls. It would get more people into Kidderminster. A lot of people use the market on Thursdays and Saturdays but they stay away when its raining. They would come indoors."
The town's indoor market was forced to close down in 2003. Many stallholders trade in High Street and Vicar Street.
