A Kidderminster home furnishings store could close its doors with stock being cleared out of the store as part of a "closing down sale".

KPMG LLP Restructuring have been appointed as administrators for Rosebys and say closing down sales have started in all stores to clear stock in case a buyer is not found. The store in Market Street employs six staff but they declined to comment today.

Spokeswoman from KPMG Alison Anderson said they were trying to sell Rosebys as a going concern, however she said they were preparing for both good and bad outcomes in case a sale was not possible.

She added: "We can't say anything at the moment. We are preparing for best and worse outcomes. We can't say whether any stores will go. We are trying to sell the business as a going concern.

The chain, which also has branches in Walsall, Stafford and Bearwood, called in a restructuring team from KPMG on September 26. The company has 280 shops selling bedding items and also curtains.
