A new multi-million pound Morrisons opened in Kidderminster today – twice the size of the supermarket chain's old store.
There were nearly 200 shoppers waiting outside the shop in Green Street today for the 9am unveiling.
Cutting the ribbon was honorary president Sir Kenneth Morrison, son of the store's founder William Morrison, along with Kidderminster mayor Marcus Hart. Morrisons started in 1899 as an egg and butter stall before opening its first shop in the 1950s.
The new 80,000 sq ft store has 26 checkouts and 400 parking spaces. There is also a cafe area overlooking the banks of the river.
