Artists who have helped spawn a great musical heritage for the Wyre Forest district include Mike Sanchez, who will be headlining one of the concerts.

Mike, who grew up in Bewdley and still lives in Kidderminster, will be taking to the stage with his band for the festival, named Get Your Kicks on the A456, which will run from September 25 to September 29.

He will head a night of rock 'n' roll, blues and soul, with Ian Parker and Deborah Bonham, the sister of the late drummer John Bonham of Led Zeppelin fame, at Kidderminster Town Hall on September 27.

Carlisle Egypt, a band featuring Kevin Gammond who played with Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant in the Band of Joy, will also be performing.

Tickets available ar Kidderminster town hall, the library or www.kidderocks.com
