Inspired by the forest on her doorstep, an artist has launched her latest exhibition of paintings at Burntwood Library.
Jean Walker, aged 60, is sharing her love of Cannock Chase through her new artwork at the library, on Sankeys Corner, which is on show and available for sale during library opening hours until September 30.
Seven oil and acrylic paintings are being showcased revealing different parts of the Chase at different seasons.
When the step-grandmother-of-three, of Cannock Road, Burntwood, graduated from Wolverhampton University with her bachelors degree in Fine Art Painting last year, her husband bought her a puppy and they started going for walks through the Chase.
The artistic housewife said: "It's so beautiful up there and it changes through the different seasons. It was something I had to capture on the canvas."
Mrs Walker has painted seriously for ten years and has held exhibitions at Burntwood Library, Lichfield's Friary Library and at the new art gallery in Walsall, with the Walsall Society of Artists.
