Motorcyclist is killed in collision

A motorcyclist from Kidderminster has been killed on a mountain road in Mid Wales in a collision with a car.

Paul Vale, aged 43, died on Sunday on an unclassified road between Rhayader and Cwmystwyth, said police today.

His death was one of three fatal accidents involving motorcycles on the roads of Mid and North Wales at the weekend.

Despite efforts to resuscitate the rider he was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was blocked for five hours while the police carried out an investigation.
