Boozed-up youngsters have been creating a nuisance in Kidderminster parks and turning up at their homes obviously under the influence of drink after persuading older teenagers to buy them alcohol.
Now police plan to issue on-the-spot £80 fines to people buying alcohol for under-age youngsters.
The crackdown follows problems in several parts of the town, particularly in the Greenhill and Horsefair area and parents concerned that their children are arriving home after drinking.
Police say youngsters have been spotted drinking alcohol in local parks and have then caused a nuisance through unruly behaviour and noise.
The campaign is being run in conjunction with mem-bers of the Horsefair, Broadwaters and Greenhill Community Partnership.
Police officers plan to distribute leaflets setting out the law and the penalties.
