Woman is cut free from crash car

A minibus, lorry and car collided on a busy Wolverhampton road today.

The accident happened on the A41 Wergs Road on the border of Tettenhall and Perton.

Fire crews from Wolverhampton and Tettenhall freed a man and a woman from a blue Rover. The woman was unhurt but the man needed treatment for a graze to the back of the head.

The male drivers of a white Ford Transit minibus and a white Iveco lorry were unhurt.

West Midlands Fire Service also sent the Major Rescue Unit. Emergency services arrivedat 11.30am and the road was closed between Perton traffic lights and Yew Tree Lane.

Meanwhile, a parked car was shunted 50ft up Finchfield Road, Bradmore, by a Rover. Ian Collins's Toyota Avesis, was written off on Saturday.
