Special Constable Emma Turner has recently transferred to Oldbury Police Station where she has joined forces with sister Pc Elaine Turner.

Emma joined the Special Constabulary just over a year ago and previously worked at Wednesbury.

But the 30-year-olds have already been mistaken for each other after Emma did just a couple of shifts at Oldbury. Emma, who has two part-time jobs teaching English to adults at Sandwell and South Birmingham College, is also at university, but still finds time to work as a special constable.

She decided to join the specials after hearing much about policing from her twin, who joined six years ago and works on a response team at Oldbury. "We share similar interests and friends, many of whom are police officers," said Emma.
