The Express & Star has been given an exclusive preview of the 2008 players charity calendar which will be hitting the shelves tomorrow.

Its stars include Rob Edwards, Seyi Olofinjana, Mark Little, Carl Ikeme, Matt Murray, Darren Ward, Michael Kightly along with five other team mates in a variety of racy poses.

Midfielder Olofinjana is seen clocking up the miles on an exercise bike, while defender Edwards is shown lifting weights, although not all the players are sweating it out.

Midfielder Kightly, looking mean and moody, is clearly taking a break from training while captain Jody Craddock is pictured checking his iPod.

It is believed to be the first time Football League players have got semi-naked for a charity publication.

The lads have been captured in tasteful black and white, showing off their lean bodies as they work out in nothing more than their shorts.

The cheeky 12-pager was the idea of fans' favourites Kightly, Edwards and Matt Murray, who will be greeting fans at tomorrow's launch which is taking place at the Molineux shop.

All profits from the calendar will go to Broadmeadow Special Nursery School, just half a mile from Molineux.

The school has been chosen by the club as one of its fundraising recipients this season.

The calendar will raise money for a gymnasium and safe play area as part of a £100,000 appeal.

Rachael Heyhoe-Flint, Wolves PR manager, said today: "They all look very hunky. It's a great idea and I think it's very tasteful."

Merchandising manager Peter Pridmore said: "Wolves players are among the first in the league to model for this type of calendar, and it is obvious from the images that some of them could quite easily grace the pages of FHM, GQ and other similar magazines."
