A popular pub landlord from Staffordshire has been killed in a horror smash while on holiday with his wife in America.
Keith Austin ran the Hartley Arms in Wheaton Aston. His wife Jenny was also involved in the crash and is believed to be in a serious condition in hospital.
The couple's devastated son has now flown over to America.
Mr Austin was described as a popular man who lived for his pub and family.
Ian Robotham, who organises Wheaton Aston's carnival, said the village had lost one of its most well-loved characters.
"I am completely in shock. Keith has run the Hartley Arms for years and it is the focal point of the village," he said.
