An extra 74 staff will be taken on at Wednesbury's Carcraft, as a key UK centre is to be developed there.
The UK Car Group, the firm behind used car specialist Carcraft, chose its Wednesbury site to expand.
The expanded centre, on the Wednesbury Trading Estate, near the M6, will service many Carcraft sites in the south of England, providing comprehensive 120-point checks on all used cars sites sell. The new investment will increase the total number of people employed at the site to 212.
Jim Bertram, Wednesbury general manager, said: "This decision is great news for Wednesbury as we'll be undertaking a significant recruitment drive to fill the new roles being created.
"It is also good news for our customers. By creating a more efficient process to prepare the quality used cars we sell we can reflect these savings in our prices and further our aim to offer the very best choice at the best prices."
With more than 8,000 cars in stock at any one time, Carcraft is one of the UK's largest retailers of nearly new and used cars. Recruitment is expected to start immediately. Jobs will include mechanics, body technicians, MoT testers and parts assistants.
The centre is set to include part of the existing showroom although the firm cannot yet confirm the full size. To register an interest call Nikki Finch on 0121 506 7970.
