A kickboxer is hoping to bag himself another top title when he competes in the World Championships next month.
Drew Neal of Kidderminster is hoping to follow his recent success in Belgium where he beat the three-times world champion to scoop a gold medal.
He took part in the Belgium WAKO World Cup and beat his Croatian opponent in the 84kg section by a comfortable seven points with the score finishing 13-6.
Drew, aged 27, of Doverdale Avenue, who has been kickboxing since he was five, said: "I was particularly pleased with my performance as I have not competed for over a year as I have been out with a knee injury so this was a great return."
He will be travelling to Portugal to compete in the world competition at the end of next month and is hoping to regain the world title, which he won in Paris four years ago. The fitness instructor, who works at Fitness First in Foley Grove, Kidderminster, trains for an hour six times a week.
