Two men appeared in court today accused of killing 16-year-old Bilston boy Shane Owoo, who drowned in a pond after allegedly being beaten and pelted with stones.

And police this afternoon named a third man they want to speak to about the teenager's death.

Tobias Davies, aged 20, sobbed as details of the case against him and co-defendant Christopher Lewis, aged 22, were read out today in court.

They appeared in the dock as police revealed they are also hunting a 21-year-old man called Marvin Walker.

Relatives of Davies and Lewis cried as the pair, who were both accused of manslaughter, were remanded in custody by Wolverhampton magistrates until next year.

Shane, who lived in Addison Place, Bilston and was a former pupil of Moseley Park School, died after being attacked at the water-filled clay pit at The Lunt on Saturday.

Detectives believe he jumped into the pool, possibly to flee his attackers, before being pelted with stones by yobs on the bank.

Davies, of Frost Street, Ettingshall, dressed in a cream anorak with a hood, and Lewis, from east Wolverhampton, wearing a tracksuit, nodded at family members and each other as they were led into the dock.

No application for bail was made.

As District Judge Shamim Qureshi announced he was remanding the pair in custody ahead of a hearing on January 2 next year, Davies mouthed the words "mum" and was led away.

Lewis threw a book of documents onto the table as he was led to the cells.

Detectives today encouraged Walker, who is also known as Shotty, to come forward.

Det Supt Mick Treble said: "If people are acting under some sort of loyalty to protect him, offering him shelter, they need to understand it is a serious matter and they themselves could face prosecution."
