Lloyd helps Edwina on TV show

A Kidderminster man is expecting a full order book after helping Edwina Currie decorate the roof of a television studio.

Edwina took part in ITV's This Morning programme and was asked to organise a service where two people who had been married for 30 years could renew their wedding vows.

She was asked to organise it on the roof of the studio and as a result had to arrange for people to decorate the fire escape area.

Lloyd Wothers, aged 35, who runs the Venue Dress and HuffandPuff Balloons company in Kidderminster, emailed the television studios to offer his help and was delighted when Edwina asked him to get involved.

He said: "She was having to live for a week on the fire escape and had to arrange for the couple to renew their wedding vows.

"We took all our balloon decorations and put drapes on railings and even put down rose petals for the couple to walk on."

Mr Wothers set up his balloon company more than 18 months ago with three part-time staff and the venue dressing section in January this year.

He said: "We have previously been asked to provide dressing for theme parties, hotels and marquees but never had a request before to dress a fire escape area.

"But we did manage it and Edwina said she loved it and even donned a T-shirt to be part of our team for a day.

"We cater for any special occasions, including weddings."
