Fears over lack of spaces

Disabled drivers are being let down by a shortage of suitable car parking bays in Kidderminster, it was claimed by a group of campaigners today.
Disability Action Wyre Forest, is calling for spaces to be provided in every public car park in both the town and district.
Officials from the council have pledged when new laws on on-street parking come into force from October there will be more spaces occurring around the town more frequently during the day.
But campaigners say the situation is currently a real problem for disabled people seeking to use Kidderminster town centre.
Group chairman Mark Lawley said: "Off the top of my head I can think of at least three car parks in Kidderminster that haven't got disabled parking, those are the ones by St Mary's Church, Castle Road and Bromsgrove Street and there are plenty more."
The group's plea comes as members get ready to launch the group's Equality Scheme to help promote awareness of issues, this takes place at Connect Wyre Forest's open day on Thursday.
