Joanna Ward and Daniel Eastough, both 27, will be holding their big day at the Ramada Hotel in Habberley Road after winning the top prize in a competition run by M&S Magazine.

It includes a champagne reception and toast and a meal for 40 people as well as a cake and a red carpet for the bride's arrival at the venue.

Miss Ward, a physiotherapist, said the news was a complete surprise as she did not know her parents, Sue and Peter, had entered them in the Win a Wedding competition.

She added: "It was amazing. I was ecstatic when I heard. I don't win things normally. I phoned my partner up and we were both really excited."

The couple, who both live in Shirley, Solihull, have been together seven years and first met when they were studying sports science at Swansea University.

They have spent several months searching for their ideal venue and fell in love with the Kidderminster hotel, where they will tie the knot on March 1 2008, as soon as they saw it. Miss Ward, a physiotherapist said: "We loved the venue, especially the grounds and main reception hall. The staff were all very friendly. It was also important that we had somewhere where our family and friends could stay."
