So as Pat prepared to retire from Argos after 25 years of loyal service, she wanted to do it her way by riding pillion, clad in leathers and with the wind rushing through her hair.
She was able to live out her dream when she was surprised by members of Stourbridge Motorcycle Club, who roared along the Waterfront at Brierley Hill and took her for a spin around the town.
Earlier in the year, mother-of two Pat, from Hinsford Close, Kingswinford, who has six grandchildren, organised a quiz and challenged staff to guess what it was she had always wanted to do.
Customer service adviser Dawn Price said: "No-one guessed that she wanted to ride on a motorbike Hell's Angel style.
"We were flabbergasted as Pat is not someone you would imagine being into motorbikes. When she told us she was retiring I thought it would be a great idea to make her dream come true.
"Pat has been a great boss and we will all miss her."
Staff at the store organised the surprise for Pat last week before she stepped down from her job at Argos Merry Hill yesterday.
Mrs Davis, aged 61, who previously worked for the company at Walsall, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich and Birmingham, said: "I was escorted on a motorbike for about half-an-hour. I was on a three-wheeler.
"I had just always wanted to do it. I don't know why but it has always been on my wish list.
"The Stourbridge Hell's Angels were brilliant.
"I was the oldest girl in town.
"It was really exhilarating and I just cannot put how it felt into words.
"It was really wonderful of the staff to arrange this. They are the very best.
"I am very sad indeed to leave them all."
