This photograph shows just how quickly the £1million hotel at The Barns Bars and Restaurants in Cocksparrow Lane, Huntington, has taken shape. Around 500 pre-bookings have already been taken for the hotel and bookings go into next year. The first guests will stay at the hotel next Friday. Alan Turner, co-owner of The Barns, said: "We are really pleased with how popular it's been as we haven't started advertising it properly yet. "I was told we've had in the region of 500 rooms pre-booked already which is amazing. "We have had a lot of bookings from Briggs, which was formerly Finning, as they have booked a block of seminars with accommodation." Read the full story in the Express & Star.

He added: "We have got three weddings booked between Christmas Day and New Year's Day and will write to everyone who has a wedding booked with us this year and next year to let them know we now have accommodation."
Rooms have a modern, light feel and the bridal suite has now been completed with a 42-inch plasma television screen and its own fire.
It was initially estimated the 21-bedroom hotel would open in November but work was so far ahead of schedule it is now virtually ready. All rooms have been decorated, final touches are being put and cleaning is taking place.
Huntington-based builders Charmford Building Ltd created the new hotel.
The venue's other facilities are based in a converted farmhouse and cater for conferences and weddings.
The barn building which houses the pub and restaurant was dilapidated until Mr Turner and his business partner Bruce Alcock renovated it six years ago.
In 2004 the business partners breathed new life into a former historic farm building next door by converting it into the banqueting and conference centre.
