Tim Scott Wright and Natasha Steele have made it through to the British Hairdressing Awards 2007 Final.
Both from the Lisa Shepherd salon, they fought off stiff competition to be named among six finalists in their individual categories. Mr Scott Wright is hoping to make it three in a row having been nominated for the Midlands Hairdresser of the Year for the third year running.
He has won the past two years and if he makes it a third it will enter him into the Hairdressing Hall of Fame.
Newcomer of the Year nominee Miss Steele, is making her debut in the competition and is hoping for some beginners' luck.
She said: "This year has been an incredible one for the salon. To be recognised amongst your peers as being one of the country's leading newcomers in hairdressing and being involved in the British Hairdressing Awards is a fantastic achievement."
Both entrants had to #submit picture collections of four images showing their hairdressing and artistic talents and will need to add a further four images to their collections for the final stages of the judging process.
They now face an anxious wait before the awards ceremony on November 26 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
