Regulars at The Crown in Oldswinford are busy preparing for the extravaganza on Sunday. Customer Les Jones said punters decided to club together and organise a fun day last summer after hearing of the need for cash to keep the hospice running. He said: "We managed to raise £3,500 last year from the day, which I think was absolutely amazing and a real testament to everyone who organised it and everyone who turned out. Regulars at The Crown in Oldswinford are busy preparing for the extravaganza on Sunday.
Customer Les Jones said punters decided to club together and organise a fun day last summer after hearing of the need for cash to keep the hospice running.
He said: "We managed to raise £3,500 last year from the day, which I think was absolutely amazing and a real testament to everyone who organised it and everyone who turned out.
"We held a few other events as well and managed to raise £4,500 altogether for the hospice.
"We are holding a similar event this Sunday and, while we are not setting any targets, it would be great to raise a similar amount again or even top it for what is a very worthy cause.
"But to do that we need people to turn out and support the event."
A special stage is being brought in for the event, which starts at 2.30pm, and two live bands will be performing.
There will also be candy floss and doughnuts, a hog roast, a tombola and auction. Lots are expected to include a golfing day at one of the top courses in Scotland and a day of off-road driving in a Land Rover.
Admission is £10 including all food, or free with the food not included.
