A motorcyclist died near Kidderminster after he was involved in a crash with a car.
Paramedics were unable to save the life of the rider from Dudley, who has not been named, but is said to have been in his thirties.
His machine collided with a silver Ford Escort car on the A451 Stourbridge Road on the outskirts of Kidderminster.
Two people in the car suffered minor injuries in the crash at the junction of the Stourbridge Road and Hurcott Lane at about 10.20 last night.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said today: "Paramedics received a number of 999 calls regarding a motorcycle being in a collision with a car.
"Unfortunately nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene."
Paramedics treated two other people for minor injuries.
Inspector Mark Hatton, control room duty officer for West Mercia Police, appealed for witnesses.
He said: "We would particularly like to speak to the occupants of a large dark-coloured four by four vehicle which turned right onto the A451 to Hurcott Lane while the Escort car was waiting at the junction."
Police said relatives of the motorcyclist had been informed.
Anyone with information is being asked to call north Worcestershire police on 08457 444888.
