A 16-year-old boy and his friend were approached by another teenager, from a gang of around seven men, in Cannock Park at 6.30pm yesterday and threatened with a small knife.
Three mobile phones were stolen from the pair before the robber fled on a bus.
He was described as about 18 years old, black, about 5ft 8ins tall, slim with closely shaven black hair.
He had a slight moustache and was wearing a black hooded top and tracksuit trousers.
It is the third robbery at knifepoint to take place in the district in recent weeks.
