In honour of Heather Harris's fun-loving personality, mourners avoided dressing in black and floral tributes included one in the shape of a crisp packet in a nod to her job as a barmaid at The Foresters Arms pub in Wollaston, near Stourbridge.
Heather, who was 20, went missing on July 18 after going out on an inflatable boat with family friend Richard Perry of Brierley Hill.
Mr Perry's body was recovered the same day but Heather, of Woodfield Avenue, Wollescote, was not found until July 27.
Her family and friends plan to return to the Isle of Wight later this week to scatter Heather's ashes at the spot she loved.
Her father Nick described his 20-year-old daughter as "fearless" and "fun-loving" and revealed that she had one day hoped to go and live on the Isle of Wight.
He said she loved quad biking and and adrenaline sports and that is the way she would have wanted to be remembered.
Her funeral was held at Stourbridge Crematorium in South Road yesterday.
The former Grange School pupil was on holiday with her father, his partner Diane Moore, her boyfriend Jason Glazzard and family friend Mr Perry when the tragedy happened.
An inquest opened earlier this month heard that a post mortem had found the cause of Heather's death as drowning.
