Morgan's Molineux takeover has been held up by legal delays for months, but the long-running saga is now finally close to completion.

Legal gridlock has left the club's ownership in a frustrating state of limbo over the summer, but lawyers have made significant progress in the last seven days - and both parties are now optimistic that Morgan will be installed as chairman and owner by the time Watford visit Molineux on Saturday.

The deal, which was announced in May, has been held up by legal technicalities related to the complex ownership structure of the club.

Lawyers for both Morgan and Sir Jack have been working for months to resolve the deal - and are now close to announcing a resolution.Under the terms of the deal the property magnate will pay £10 to become the clubÕs new owner - with a guaranteed £30m investment in the club.

The Cheshire-based millionaire sat alongside current owner Sir Jack Hayward at Wolves' final pre-season game against Reading on Saturday in another sign that the deal is close to completion.

Morgan is keen to set out his vision for Wolves, and reassure supporters of his intentions for the club.

Chief executive Jez Moxey today reassured supporters that the deal is still on track - and promised Morgan's vision for the club will be "worth the wait".

"I have to admit to being frustrated by the time it is taking for the deal to be completed," Moxey said.

"The complicated legal ownership structure of the club in the Bahamas and 'legalities' that are necessary to overcome are taking more time than anyone expected to fully and properly resolve.

"Having spent a lot of time talking to Steve about his future plans for Wolves I can assure everyone that once the deal has been completed it will have been worth the wait as I have been very impressed with the energy, vision and commitment that Steve will bring to Wolves."
