The team recently showcased their motoring masterpiece at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon.
They were chauffeur-driven to the venue courtesy of team sponsors Stafford Land Rover, and were tasked with emulating the performance of a class-leading 4x4 by designing and assembling a model which met specifications from Land Rover engineers.
After a series of tests on a specially designed track the team of budding automotive engineers were asked to make a presentation and answer questions from the judging panel.
Martin Bayliss, head of learning support at Chase Terrace, said: "The benefits of taking part in TrackNAVCHALLENGE are invaluable to these pupils.
"Not only has it given them a unique insight into product design, but also developed the key skills of leadership, teamwork and public speaking. We are delighted at the success of our pupils and are looking to defending our title in next year's competition."
As a result of their win the team will now be treated to a day of off-road driving at one of Land Rover's experience centres, and work experience at Stafford Land Rover.
Peter Gilbert, sales manager at Stafford Land Rover, entered the Burntwood team.
He said: "TrackNAVCHALLENGE is an engaging and fun competition to inspire young people to consider a future within the automotive industry.
"The team demonstrated many of the talents we would look for in a vehicle technician."
