The annual Ron Grimley Presentation Awards at The Dudley Group of Hospitals mark the end of the educational year and are dedicated to the former sub-dean and vascular surgeon at the trust, Mr Ron Grimley.
This is the second year of the awards, which are held at Russells Hall Hospital and sponsored by Siemens Medical Solutions.
The £500 prize for best research project was awarded to George Metsios, with Antonios Stavropoulos-Kalinoglou winning £500 for the best national or international paper. A £500 best audit prize was awarded to Dr Satyawan Bhat and his co-author Dr Kirane Sachane, with
another £500 going to Dr Shu Li Ng and her co-authors Dr Anuradha Muniyappa and Dr Imdadur Rahman.
Undergraduate medical student Ahmed Rashid won £200 for a presentation. Runner-up Michelle Cook won £100.
