Teacher had been sacked
A disgraced Stourbridge teacher who admitted installing a camera in school toilets had been barred from working with sixth formers after being sacked from his previous job, it was revealed today.

Paul Bodley, aged 54, was sacked from King Charles I School in Kidderminster in 1993 for alleged professional misconduct and blacklisted before he got his job at Redhill School in Stourbridge.
Bodley, of Church View, Bewdley, was today being sentenced after admitting one charge of installing equipment to enable the observation of another person during a private act.
He was arrested and charged after camera equipment was discovered in the pupils' toilets at Redhill School.
Worcestershire County Council spokesman Lee Shrimpton today confirmed Bodley had been sacked in December 1993 from his job at and the Department for Education and Skills informed. Bodley lost an appeal and, although he was not convicted of a criminal offence, he lost his job.
Mr Shrimpton said that the department wrote back confirming the teacher had been barred from working with students aged 17 and over.
He said: "We are confident we flagged up the issues with Mr Bodley to all of the relevant authorities."
But he was able to get a job at Redhill School, Stourbridge where children leave at 16, and rose to head of music. John Freeman, Dudley Council director of children's services, today said they were not made aware of the ban, which he put down to loopholes in the old system.
Bodley was today given a three-year community order and placed on the sex offender's register for five years at Wolverhampton Crown court.
