St Giles Hospice in Lichfield is offering supporters the chance to win the hot new wheels in time for the summer sun – and help local people at the same time. Its popular lottery is celebrating its 10th anniversary by giving away a brand new Vauxhall Corsa to one lucky player.
This bonus prize is in addition to the standard weekly prize fund of more than £3,000.
Sponsored by Steve Thompson Cars of Lichfield, the Vauxhall Corsa is worth nearly £9,000.
There are also an additional one hundred £5 vouchers available for this special draw, which takes place on July 13.
Linda Bridges, St Giles Hospice promotions development co-ordinator, said: "This brand new car is a fantastic prize for one lucky winner and we are thrilled that Steve Thompson Cars is supporting us.
"We really wanted to thank our current lottery players for their support over the years and the perfect way was to offer them the chance to win a fantastic prize.
"We also want to encourage new players to join the lottery, as the more money raised, the more local people can benefit from the hospice's services.
"And with all the additional prizes that are available in this special draw, there has never been a better chance to win."
The draw is open to new and existing hospice lottery players, and membership costs £1 per week.
To be in with the chance to win one of the anniversary prizes, new players must join the hospice lottery before next Friday and ensure that St Giles has received their payment of £13, £26 or £52 by this date.
Payments received after this date will be placed in the following week's normal lottery draw.
The special anniversary draw is in addition to the recent Big Birthday Bash which was also held to celebrate the 10th year of the lottery. Visitors from across the region flocked to Catton Hall, Alrewas.
Over the past decade the lottery has brought in more than £7m through ticket sales – funding care for patients living with cancer and other serious illnesses.
