Cups, saucers, plates and spoons have been collected by Burntwood man Keith Rothery, from Methodist chapels he has visited in the last 40 years.
It was on display at Chasetown Methodist Church along with displays on the life and works of John and Charles Wesley, the history of the Methodist Church; commemorative pottery and medallions; busts and figures of John Wesley and other Methodist memorabilia.
Mr Rothery, of Hazelmere Drive, Chasetown, said he believed it was the biggest private collection of its kind in Britain.
He said: "People know I collect it and just give it to me from their church cupboards that have not been opened for years and years. It is all pre-1945 because it stopped being made after the war and it stopped being used as well."
The exhibition was hosted by the Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury District of The Methodist Church.
