Pensioners rely on public transport to get them around and commute to other parts of the borough including Shelfield and Aldridge. Pelsall councillor Marco Longhi said the petition was presented earlier this week to West Midlands Passenger Authority.
He said: "It was well received by the chairman of the PTA Gary Clarke who was delighted to accept the petition from the Old Vicarage Close residents."
He added he was also looking to push Walsall Council to agree to a road crossing nearby which will make it safer for people to cross.
Around 150 people have signed the petition. The proposals are also due to be brought before the next Pelsall and Rushall Local Neighbourhood Partnership.
