Motorists escape kerb fines
Police are unable to fine drivers parking in the streets near a village station near Kidderminster as the road and pavement have merged into one.

Train passengers are causing chaos by parking on side roads near Blakedown railway station to avoid paying charges at Kidderminster, according to the parish council.
However, the council has been told by police that they cannot take action in parts of Station Drive as the pavement has worn away so much it has merged into the road.
This means officers cannot tell where the pavements starts and the road ends. It is an offence to park on the pavement but not on the road where there are no restrictions in place.
Blakedown parish clerk Roger Gurney said they were now asking Worcestershire County Council to make improvements to the road so action could be taken.
Last month a daily parking charge of £3, a weekly charge of £9, a monthly charge of £22.50 and an annual charge of £225 was introduced in Kidderminster.
