She did so well she became a group leader and now runs her own classes at Watling Street School and at Avon Business and Leisure Centre in Cannock. Mrs Liggins from Brownhills was 12 stone and is now 10.5 stone after she took up walking and running. She said: "None of this would have been possible without the support and encouragement of my family and friends."

Her husband of 20 years David, sons Ryan, aged 16, and Adam Liggins, aged 14, also took part in the climb. The Brownhills class on Mondays at 7pm and at the Avon Business and Leisure Centre, in Wolverhampton Road, Cannock, on Thursdays at 7pm.
