Lock up your boss for charity

Police are inviting companies in Wyre Forest to put their bosses behind bars for charity during an open day at the town's police station in September.

The Lock-Up-Your-Boss initiative is open to any company in the area.

To take part, companies must be willing to sponsor a manager or senior member of staff to spend an hour or two in a cell at the police station during the event on September 2.

But there are only a limited number of places available and firms are urged to get in touch as soon as possible if interested.

Money raised through either staff or company sponsorship will go to the County Air Ambulance, which is the north Worcestershire division's chosen charity for its open days this year.

Nominated bosses will be "arrested", booked in and dressed in detainee overalls before being photographed and placed under lock and key in the custody block, which will be open to the public that day.
