Health HQ branded 'immoral'
Plans for a controversial new multi-million pound health centre in Cannock have been described as "immoral" and a "waste of taxpayers' money".

Cannock West Councillor Phil Freeman has spoken out against the new centre which has attracted growing criticism since it was announced.
The new health centre could be built on land off Cardinal Way, Cannock, if planners give the go ahead.
A planning application for the facility was submitted to the council last week despite concerns by the Friends of Cannock Park who say the four-storey building will ruin the park.
Now Councillor Freeman, vice-chairman of the council's planning committee, has hit out at the plans and criticised South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust, who are behind the plans.
Councillor Freeman said the centre could cost in excess of £5 million which "could have been better spent putting it in the hospital.
"There are wards there where you could easily fit eight doctors, this is a total waste of taxpayers money and I think its immoral."
Despite the growing opposition Councillor Freeman said he felt the centre would get the go ahead.
South Staffordshire PCT boss Stuart Poynor has pledged to liaise with critics of the plan but has repeated the PCTs main aim which is to provide Cannock patients with health services that meet the local needs.
