Eyesores could be demolished
Four eyesore blocks of flats in a rundown area of Kidderminster could be demolished and replaced with 37 smart new homes, it has been revealed.

The 1960s built tower blocks in Windsor Drive and Lark Hill, Churchfields, have been plagued by anti-social tenants and drug dealing but the Community Housing Group has applied to construct social housing complete with new parking and road entrances.
The tower blocks and a garage plot will make way for 14 three-bedroom terraced homes, 15 two-bedroom, six two-bedroom flats and two four-bedroom houses.
A similar plan was approved by council planners in 2002 but nothing built. A new decision may be made at next month's development control meeting.
Meanwhile, work is well under way to build a three storey block of flats on land in the nearby Horsefair, a prime gateway to the town.
The block of 22 flats for elderly people being built on the former council car park off Broad Street is due to be complete next year. Three linked detached houses will be for families.
Talks are still on going between English Heritage, the Community Housing Group and council on the future of the 200-year-old Weavers Cottages which are in a conservation area.
