£2m school is planned
A £2 million new school is planned for Chaddesley Corbett to cater for pupils from the rural areas of Kidderminster, Bromsgrove and Droitwich.

If the go-ahead is given, the new primary school will be built on land at Lodgeford Hill, just past Rowberry's Nursery on the A448, Kidderminster to Bromsgrove Road.
Officials claim this will provide better access and remove traffic congestion from the centre of Chaddesley because it will be in a more convenient location for many of the pupils arriving by car or bus.
There is also a public footpath from the village which local children will be able to use to reach the school safely.
Outline plans for the new school have been submitted to Wyre Forest District Council. It is expected to officially open its doors for the first time in September 2008 and replace the existing Endowed First School in the village, which is bursting at the seams.
There are currently 155 pupils, aged from four to 10-years-old, at the school but from September the school will take more children up to the age of 11, because of a change from three to two-tier schooling in the district.
The new school has been planned to provide facilities for more than 200 children, but until it is built, temporary classrooms will cater for the extra pupils.
Project leader David Mills said: "The site offers the ideal solution to many of the concerns surrounding the project, including accessibility, reduction of traffic congestion in the village and plenty of playing field space.
"We are thrilled to have got to this stage. It has taken a lot of time and hard work but I hope that our care and determination to do everything right will prove worthwhile."
People are being urged to support the outline application by writing to Wyre Forest District Council with their views before June 7. Plans can be seen through the council's website.
