Kidderminster Tyres owner Graham Adams was stunned to find a ship container had been emptied of 386 tyres.

The thieves cut through a 7ft high perimeter wall fence at Rushock Trading Estate before breaking into the steel container.

The container housed mostly branded car and van tyres such as Goodyear, Dunlop, Bridgestone and Continental.

The thieves broke into a Renault Truck belonging to Grosvenor Haul, also based on the trading estate, between 5.30pm on Thursday and 7.30pm on Friday.

They loaded the tyres into the truck and then drove it through the perimeter fencing towards Areley Kings. The truck was found abandoned at 10.30pm on Friday in Abberley Avenue in Areley Kings.

It was the second time in days that thieves had targeted the estate. On April 30 another container belonging to Mr Adams was broken into and a £500 power generator was stolen.

Mr Adams, 41, is now offering a £500 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the culprits.

West Mercia police confirmed it was investigating the theft.

Mr Adams said: "I was really gutted when I went in to work to find the tyres all gone." Call Mr Adams on 07845 661628.
