A review of the cash paid by companies to offset negative aspects of building developments has revealed the cash pot which the council has yet to spend.

Now councillors have agreed to a spending bonanza which could benefit residents across the district, with local parishes being asked for their suggestions on where the cash should be spent.

Although the cash has been earmarked for specific types of projects the council has some flexibility in how it could be spent.

In a report to the council executive the fund is broken down by area, with Burntwood having £136,490 unspent, Alrewas and Fradley £6,000, Darwin Park estate £876,770, Lichfield City £76,910, with Streethay having £53,280 and Wall Island £30,260.
