Businesses in the West Midlands that have succeeded in overseas markets over the past year have until the end of the week to put their names forward for a prestigious export award.

For the fourth year the region's leading export group, the Midlands World Trade Forum (MWTF) is looking for nominations for its Exporter of the Year award.

The deadline for entries is Friday April 13.

The award recognises businesses whose drive, enthusiasm and belief in the benefits of international trade have led to export success.

The forum is looking for nominations from businesses of all sizes that can demonstrate international success. Peter Mathews CMG, chairman of MWTF, said: "It takes a great deal of hard work to become a successful exporter and this dedication deserves to be recognised.

"The MWTF Exporter of the Year award gives companies the opportunity to have their success acknowledged and to raise their profile amongst their peers and customers.

"All members are also welcome to attend the awards ceremony, which will be an excellent networking opportunity." For details go to www.mwtf.org.uk or call 0121 607 1759.
