Rescue these retired racers
A team of dedicated dog lovers has launched a campaign to find new homes for retired racing greyhounds.

The team of volunteers from the Monmore and Worcester branches of the Retired Greyhound Trust were at Wilson's Pet store, Kidderminster, on Saturday showing off dogs in need of a loving home.
The combined branches need to find homes for around 200 greyhounds every year and have already re-homed 89 dogs since January. There are currently 40 dogs waiting for homes.
Around 9,000 greyhounds retire every year and the charity finds homes for 4,000. The remainder become the race owner's family pet or are sent to a dogs' home.
Greyhounds peak in performance at around three to four years of age.
And the trust says they make great pets – despite their size they are very docile.
Worcester branch volunteer Kim Holmes said: "They are big dogs but easy to take care of. They are very affectionate and beautiful athletic animals."
