Now she is getting plenty of extra tender loving care and recovering at her home in the Midlands with owner Evelyn Price.
The three-year-old black and tortoiseshell cat came within a whisker of disaster after she climbed a tree in Moorhall Lane, Stourport, and clambered up about 30 feet.
A passer-by reported her problem to the RSPCA and animal collection officer Suzie Smith sought help from fire crews.
But they too were unable to reach the hapless pet who in a panic climbed even higher up the tree to about 60ft.
The only option left was to call out tree surgeon Mike Hammond.
He climbed the tree and kept talking to Daisy to calm and reassure her. He then managed to grab her and wedge her inside his jacket while he abseiled down the tree. But the cat was so high up that he ran out of rope on the way down and had to make the descent in stages.
Daisy was taken to a vet for checks which revealed she was micro-chipped, enabling Suzie to reunite her with her owner.
Today owner Mrs Evelyn Price, aged 60, of Lickhill Lodge Estate, Stourport, said: "It is hardly surprising that she has not wanted to go out much since her ordeal.
"I was absolutely devastated when I heard what had happened but was unaware of where she was.
"She went missing but I was not too concerned until I got a call from the RSPCA and heard what had happened.
"Daisy does like to be outdoors and sometimes wanders off but I was shocked to hear how far she had strayed as it much be a mile-and-half from home.
"She was microchipped as a kitten and I am thankful to everyone who rescued her."
