The group of 20 pupils from Theodore Storm school in Husum have been enjoying a week-long visit to its twin town Kidderminster.

King Charles the First School has organised the exchange with the students staying with families of pupils.

Years nine, 10 and 11 have been looking after their foreign friends and both groups have been running a special exchange blog on-line.

During the exchange the students visited the SVR station, the Kidderminster Carpet Museum and the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley. And one of the first tasks set up for the German students was baking traditional English scones.

German teacher at King Charles School, Sarah Shaw, said: "The students really enjoyed seeing a traditional English train station like the SVR.

"We have been writing a daily blog with our pupils writing in German and the Germans using English. It is the first time we have organised an exchange and it has worked really well."
