Kidderminster Town Centre Partnership has given the Saturday market plan its backing and hope once launched, it could prove a big tourism boost.
They hope it will model itself on London's trendy Camden Market.
As well as the pavement seating and entertainers, plans include designer stalls selling fashionable, quality items such art, furnishings, vintage clothing and antiques as well as jewellery, records and collectables.
Promoters hope that once it gets off the ground it could develop into a major tourist attraction like Camden Market, which is regularly visited by designers John Paul Gaultier, Georgio Armani and Stella McCartney, who also has a house near Pershore.
They want the market to be modern and fashionable and encourage people to travel to the town.
Dermot McGillicuddy, of LSD Promotions Ltd, which took over management of the Thursday market last year and revamped street trading in the town, said: "The new-style weekday market has greatly increased the number of visitors in the Swan Centre and the High Street side of Kidderminster.
"The plan for the Saturday market is not to replicate that one, but to include a new range of the unusual.
"We would ideally like it to evolve and develop as a rich assault on the senses with a range of international food stalls providing vivid colours and heavenly aromas.
"Stalls need to hold the thrill of finding a genuine bargain, even the bizarre, where people can soak up the atmosphere of a unique experience.
"We would like to see it representing the funkiest celebration of fashion and style, whether people want lace or pop art."
The date for the first market is still under discussion.
