Circus delights young and old
Hundreds of Black Country circus fans descended on Brierley Hill to see the world-famous Moscow State Circus perform in the town for the first time.

Families from across the region flocked to see the 35-strong Russian troupe, including acrobats, jugglers and clowns, take to the stage at the Engine Lane Coach Park near the Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
They were promised a spectacular evening of entertainment when the circus launched its six day show last night, and the Russian contingent didn't disappoint.
Many audience members couldn't believe their eyes as they saw an 8ft-tall man boxing, acrobats launching off springboards on stilts before somersaulting, and a juggler keeping a mind-boggling nine balls in the air.
Fred Guest, aged 62, Rosalyn Guest, 60, Jackie Guest, 36, and Marcus Betney, eight, all from Blackheath, said they couldn't resist going to see the troupe.
Jackie said: "When we heard the Moscow State Circus were on, we all wanted to come."
Sharon Harper, aged 43, from Coseley added: "The circus is part of many people's childhood."
Amanda Horobin, aged 41, and Monika Robinson, aged 42, both from Kidderminster, came to see the show with sons Ben Horobin and Tristan Robinson, both aged five. Amanda said: There are not that many things you can bring all the family to but the circus is definitely one of them."
Paul Brown, aged 29, of Wolverhampton, said: "I have really enjoyed the whole show." Bill Moore, aged 36, from Wombourne – with wife Rachel, aged 38, and their children Edward, aged four, and Katherine six – said: "It is family entertainment."
* The spectacular runs until Monday.
