Weston Park look for event staff

Weston Park – the stately home near Wolverhampton – is looking to take on more causal staff to help out at its showpiece events including the V Festival and the Summer Proms Spectacular.

A staff open day is being held in the Stables this Saturday between 12 noon and 4pm. Experience is said to be preferred but not necessary – and that good presentation is a "must".

Successful applicants are promised a good rate of pay, working environment and staff benefits in addition to experiencing the wide range of events taking place at Weston Park.

There are a variety of roles available to casual staff including working in the restaurant, bar, kitchen, park, housekeeping and administration.

With more than 200,000 visitors a year, Weston Park has established itself as a venue for many events including the Cancer Research 10K race.

A charitable foundation established in 1986, the primary aim of Weston Park is to conserve and display the main house, park, gardens and historical collection for the public's benefit and to develop its role as an educational charity .

The venue offers more than beautiful gardens, architecture and history – it is available for business meetings, team building events, corporate hospitality, weddings, product launches, private parties, conference centre facilities and activity days.

This year's V Festival headliners include The Killers, Snow Patrol and the Manic Street Preachers.
